Inspired by Rudyard Kipling's story of "Kotik the Little White Seal", I initially created this painting in reverse using yellow and black, inks and chalks, then inverted the painting in Photoshop. Using this method creates a jauntiness and slight awkwardness that I think adds to the overall effect of the characters.
