Mirram the Kangaroo, final design to illustrate an ancient Aboriginal folklore .  To create the rich colours and textures of Australia I first painted a thick, rough layer of white gouache, then layered yellow and orange acrylic, for the sky I added a wash of blue ink, finally the kangaroo being drawn directly in ink.
