"Superstitions" -it is said that to hear an owl hoot is a bad omen, bringing with it bad luck.  I first screwed up the paper, then painted in yellow, brown and black watercolour paints.  When inverted the overall effect becomes more intense and vibrant, showing the crackled texture and distorted, bleeding colours, thus making the bird more sinister.
