"Rainforest" layers of gouache, charcoal, chalk and ink on green textured paper.  Idea for a South American project. 

Above: A further two images taken from the same project, 'the Kokopelli' are randy, flute playing, South American folklore.  I painted the background in a flat colour, then printed the bright over colour using a scrap of polystyrene to add texture (I wanted to pick up on the vibrant colours often associated with Mexico and Peru). The Kokopelli were added using black ink for strong, bold design.
