Mencap Saturday Club and Holiday workshops

I have been busy working with Mencap this month, leading creative art sessions for teenagers and young adults with various learning and physical disabilities. Due to the lovely weather I decided to run with the theme of a tropical summer, together we created pineapple prints on cloth, little models of flamingos and parrot/rainforest prints on acetate.

Love West Dulwich Market

We Drawn Together Collective girls had a stall at the ever popular Love West Dulwich Street Festival.  Despite the damp weather many people made it out to enjoy live music, delicious street food and homebaked cakes and of course wonderful locally crafted goodies.

SoLo Craft Fair.

The Drawn Together Collective girls and I traded at our first markets of the year in the Balham Bowls Club and the Prince of Wales Brixton. We had lots of fun selling our prints at both events, enjoying all of the added festivities including ukulele bands, bbq, drinks and craft workshops.

Art Collective Trip to St.Lucia

February was an exciting time for our collective as we took our first trip to the stunning Caribbean island of St.Lucia.  Inspired by the many of the luscious sights I have begun to form ideas of beautiful artworks, from the fragille hummingbirds to delicate exotic flowers of the stunning botanical gardens, which I hope to debut in the near future.

Commissioned Pet Portrait

Here is the final watercolour painting of Pepsi, the resident studio pooch.  She has such a funny character I wanted to capture her cheeky expression.  In the new year I purchased a beautiful set of Sennelier watercolour pans and this was the first trial of them, I absolutely love the colours and can't wait to paint more!
